The movers were great. I will never move myself again!
by Meghan from Pittsburgh on 5/14/2012
Excellent experience and worth every penny. The three guys that moved my stuff (Shawn, Dennis G, Vladimir) were excellent!
by Raymond from Pittsburgh on 5/10/2012
This is our second move with you. Shawn, Steve, and Mike did another fantastic job. I have never seen anyone move boxes as fast as they did and not drop a single one. All three were friendly, courteous and helpful. A move is always difficult, but they made this experience as comfortable as anyone ever could. Thank them again for us.
by Raymond from Pittsburgh on 5/10/2012
Great dealing with you guys. When i need anything moved you will be the ones who get my hard earned money.
by Maxwell from Pittsburgh on 5/10/2012
I had a mixed/negative experience with your company. I had a move in Pittsburgh. I hired Two Men and a Truck to pack up my kitchen, to pack up my paintings, and to load my truck. I had a 850 cubic foot 16' Penske Truck, that was about half full after the load-in.

Your company sent two movers. Daryle was the leader, and Dave was the packer. I have only the best things to say about Dave. He is a really nice guy, with a great attitude and a great work ethic. He never stopped working. He was extremely careful and conscientious. When we unpacked our kitchen, nothing was broken or chipped. He really did a fabulous job. Dave is a stand-out mover.

Wish I could say the same for Daryle. From moment one he displayed a big attitude. He did not subscribe to the theory that "the customer is always right" and questioned my requests. He worked only about 60% of the time, and was on cigarette break the rest. For a half an hour in the middle of our move, he was nowhere to be found. Also, when unpacking our truck, we found a small 2 ounce bottle of vodka. I assume that was Daryle's, though I have no direct evidence. It certainly was not ours. About 3 hours into the move, I became stressed and voiced (with some anger, admittedly), that Daryle was on break too much and wasn't doing enough. That made him very angry and he started throwing our stuff around in the truck. At some point he complained that it was a job for 3 movers, not 2 (ironic given the name of the company is "2 Men and a Truck") and he took that as an excuse to stop providing good customer service and responding to my requests. He stopped wrapping our furniture with furniture pads, and threw them into the truck unprotected. Also, he failed to wrap our mattress with mover's wrap, as he should have. This caused our mattress to rub against the floor of the truck and get dirty.

In general, I give Daryle bad marks on: (1) attitude, first and foremost; (2) customer service; (2) speed; (3) work ethic; (4) politeness; (5) care for property. Trust me, I have moved many times. I have dealt with about 5 different moving companies. I have watched movers run up and down stairs for hours at a time with few breaks. I know what good, motivated, courteous movers can achieve, and I expected that from Two Men and a Truck. I got that with Dave, but I got nothing of the sort from Daryle.

I would appreciate it if Two Men and a Truck could contact me and refund some of their fee. Otherwise, I probably will file a negative review of the company on Yelp and Citysearch.

Movers were really great and helpful.
by David from Pittsburgh on 5/8/2012
My move was on April 30 and the movers were on time, courteous, efficient and careful, with one exception. They scratched the hardwood floor, which had just been refinished 2 weeks prior.
by John from Nashville on 5/8/2012
The guys did a great job loading my stuff and getting it to my new location in a timely matter. I was not present at the time they delivered my stuff but I found the boxes neatly stacked and the furniture in the right areas when I arrived. I was very satisfied with my decision to use Two Men And a Truck.
by Pam from Pittsburgh on 5/8/2012
I was given a moving time of two-three pm, and the movers arrived at the location, (which was appx 40mins. away from where I needed to meet them) at 11:45am, two hours and fifteen minutes earlier than the given time. At first it was an issue for both the woman I bought merchandise from and me, but, we tried to make it work. And in the end, after all of the rushing, everything turned out alright. My suggestion is; if the policy is to give customers an hour or two time-frame, this needs to change to four hour increments, this will force the customer to be aware and to be prepared at any time during those hours, for their move. This may alleviate any anger or confusion from the customer. As in my situation, if I was given a block of hours from 11am-3pm, instead of the one hour warning, I would have been ready to leave and meet the drivers at the location of the move.

Movers need lifting belts. Two smaller guys
Carried a fat HEAVY RECLINER couch
down 40+ steps. THEY MAKE THEIR
MONEY. Never slowed down or took a
Break. Shawn,Aaron + Dave. Polite + civil!
Thanks

My wife was overseeing our move and we were not informed that we would need to unhook the washing machine water lines. This was a problem as my wife has no idea how to complete this action. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time. Overall, very satisfied with the service.
by Elizabeth from Pittsburgh on 4/24/2012
Loved Shawn and Dave proffessonal and presented them and company very well
by Rita from Pittsburgh on 4/23/2012
because of past experience with them.
by John from Pittsburgh on 4/23/2012
It was a well planned move from start to finish.
by Rachel from Pittsburgh on 4/23/2012
I was entirely disappointed with the scheduling problem that occured with my move. The movers were supposed to do an afternoon move with me, but pushed it back to 4 PM due to a "big job" they had in Wexford that morning. Wouldn't it have made more sense to schedule my little job for the morning and the big job for later...? And the only possible solution offered for my problem was to reschedule my move to Monday. And then one of the movers broke a ceramic bowl during the move because he picked up a box with one hand. Total carelessness on his part. And they didn't offer to replace/reimburse for the bowl. So they messed up on the schedule and broke my bowl and didn't offer any recompense.
by Charlaine from Stow on 4/19/2012
Overall, they did well. I did have some nicks on a solid oak table top, but was able to use a scratch cover.
The men should keep some of the discussions about work issues in the truck, not in the home when they are loading/unloading.
The lead mover was very knowledgeable and courteous. His helpers did well, but the additional one for the unload was obviously still learning. I found some heavy boxes on top of boxes that could be crushed by the less experienced one. I can recommend them to a friend.
by Brittany from Pittsburgh on 4/19/2012
I am extremely happy with the service we received from Two Men and a Truck, and will definitely be referring my friends and family to your company. I chose you initially because you got responded quickly when I called to inquire about pricing and availability. The lady who called me back was so nice. The movers were AWESOME, so courteous, hard-working and efficient. I can't believe they moved everything in three hours. They took extra special care of my heavier, more expensive furniture. I am just so thoroughly impressed and will definitely use your services in the future. Thanks to Darryl, Dorian and Dominic!!

The movers were efficient and friendly. Justin who took my order was efficient, helpful and made everything as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends.

by Karen from Pittsburgh on 4/5/2012
I was initially pleased with the service from your company. The evening of the move, my daughter could not locate a laptop computer. We were already back home in Ohio at that time. From my past experience, I did not think that an employee purposely misplaced or planned to take the computer. However, I am displeased in the manner in which we were informed that the computer had been located and subsequent comments made about its misplacement. When we found the computer was missing it was after business hours. (Please note our move was at 10:00 in the morning and the movers told us they had no other jobs that day). On the morning after the move, I called your company immediately upon your opening. I was told that the computer was found in the truck at the end of the work day (the day of our move) and that it would be returned to the apartment office where my daughter moved. It was indeed returned and I appreciate that. But two things bother me about this situation. One, if the computer was found at the end of the work day, why wasn't a courtesy call made to us to let us know it had been located? Rather we were left to worry about its loss. Second, I did not appreciate the fact that the lady at the desk of the apartment office was told that my daughter left the computer on the front seat of the Two Men truck. My daughter was in class and was not present at the time of the move and my husband and I certainly did not put it there. Why was it not packed with all other technology? If it was on the front seat of the truck why did none of the three movers see it? I will not contract your company again. I am not accusing anyone of trying to steal the computer, but am displeased at the lack of concern for our property.
by Leanna from Duquesne on 4/5/2012
Jeff and Leonard worked so hard, they were friendly and careful. They were both polite, asked questions for clarification and were careful with our stuff and both homes. I expressed my appreciation with a nice tip but I am a manager and I know Jeff and Leonard would appreciate hearing from the employer that I valued their work and would refer the company and these movers to others because of them.
by Jim from Oakdale on 4/4/2012
The only issue I have with the process is that I was charged for labor hrs for travel time which I thought would be included in the truck and gas charge. It really seems that is a double charge
by Katie from Pittsburgh on 4/3/2012
The movers were not aware we had boxes. When we called to reserve the services we explained exactly what furniture we had (minimal)and an approximate number of boxes that we had. Not that it mattered, they were moved, the workers were concerned about the quote & amount of time it would take to move everything. I helped & the move was done within the amount of time that I allotted.
by Greg from Oakmont on 4/3/2012
Property damaged because of carelessness on the part of the movers. Their attitude was poor and I was basically informed that when he dropped my tv stand because he could not carry it by himself, and when the corner was chipped, he stated that it was cheap particle board and that was to be expected.
When I was informed by the office staff on how my furniture would be prepped and moved out, this was not the case. None of my furniture was wrapped or protected. My orange leather recliner chair was basically scrapped up the side of the arm because it was not protected AND because it was forced to go down the hallway rather than turn it on its side to accommodate the space. I was charged a half hour of time that they spent arguing with me about how I should expect to have damages during a move. The final straw was when one of the movers attempted to crawl on his hands and knees BACKWARDS down my stairs because he said his feet were sore and he grabbed onto the wood banister and broke the vertical rail off. THIS was a brand new house that I had just closed on that same day. This is completely unacceptable. And then to charge me an extra half hour for this!!!
I can not believe a type of organization like this exists and that upon me asking to speak to someone within the company, that 3 days has passed and no one has followed up on this matter.
Is this the business practice of your company?
by Susan from Pittsburgh on 4/2/2012
Fantasic Crew !!!!
by Melanie from Monroeville on 4/2/2012
Che' and Dennis were excellent. Very courteous. They wanted to make sure everything was okay. I would not only recommend your company I would tell my friends to ask for these two. Do what you can to keep them - great workers and great people!
by Susan from Pittsburgh on 4/2/2012
We had such good experience in 2009 when you helped me organize moving my mother to Washington, PA to Presbyterian Senior Care and then moving my brother to 484 Hoodridge Drive that I immediately thought of you to organize moving my diabled brother to ST. Clair Woods.
I was not present for the move so I cannot give many details, but my couisn Bob Melson who visited that day said all went very well.
by Mike from Murrysville on 4/2/2012
will definitely use again as the occasion arises
by Megan from Stowe on 4/2/2012
Just wanted to say that the two guys, Sean and Dave were great. Very carefull with my stuff and very profeshional. Best movers I ever saw.
I could not be any happier with your service and will use Two Men and a truck again soon.
by Chris from Pittsburgh on 4/2/2012
My washer was dragged up concrete stairs. There is a gouge in my dresser and the supports for the mirror were bent and improperly installed.
by June from Pittsburgh on 3/30/2012
Great men - they are keepers. Courteous, dilligent, polite, careful, trustworthy. They followed directions very well as I had 2 locations and had instructed them about the delivery of certain items to the 2nd location.
by Justin from Pittsburgh on 3/29/2012
I am glad we had 3 guys come, but my move was more costly then quoted for a short move. They guys did a GREAT job to not break items and got the move done in a timely manner. I just wish I would of known it be more around $800.00 when I though it closer to $550-$600. Non the less I would recommended your company.

Best Regards,
Justin

My Compliments to the guys- BIG DENNIS, CHE' and JOHN C- for their care, courtesy and most of all HARD work. I intend to utilize 2-Men/Truck for all my future needs and would recommend to all I know.
My only concern was the workers weren't equipped with any kind of Back or Knee protection and didn't have Strap Carriers to assist with some of the heavier pieces of furniture. Take care of your Workers & Thanks Again, Guys!

the crew sent to my house did an excellent job
by Donita from Pittsburgh on 3/16/2012
The actual move went great. The movers were prompt, curteous, and efficient. The move took a lot less time than originally estimated. I didn't rate the movers as "excellent" regarding care of my property because when I stepped away from the house the person I left in charge overheard them saying that the bed in the guest bedroom was not level and they were unsure if it happened before or after the move. It turns out that some of the wheels were missing. But instead of asking me upon my return, they removed the wheels that made it over in the move and hid them in the closet. Now the bed is very low and I've had to submit a claim to have them replaced. Several pictures were also broken on the move because they were not wrapped in pads bit instead placed in the bin with the unused boxes during the move. Handling of damage claims is my other complaint. I moved on 3/3 and purchased additional coverage for damage. As of 3/16, none of the property that was damaged (broken glass in 3 pictures, missing bed frame wheels, a broken blender lid, missing pictures, and a missing beauty rest item) has been replaced or repaired. I've had to call the office several times to follow up instead of being called by someone to make sure things are being taken care of. Moving is stressful in general. When your property is damaged, a quick resolution would go a long way in not adding additional stress. My biggest complaint is the follow up effort of your staff after the move. It seems as if now that the money has been paid, they could care less about helping me resolve the issues with my damaged/missing property.
by Ashley from Imperial on 3/14/2012
The guys that helped us move did a great job. Couldn't have asked for better movers
by Cheryl from Walled Lake on 3/13/2012
this was an out of state move from p.a to mi and I really didn't know exactly how it was going to work. The two men (Shawn and Dave) that came were wonderful very kind and courteous. They were efficient very careful with the moving of the items. I can't say enough about there professionalism.
They made what could have been a very stressful move into a most pleasant expereince and Yes we will use two men and a truck again and recommend them to our freinds !!! I only wish we could use the same two men!!!
Sincerely,
Cheryl Lowe
